What say you?

An 'interesting' Gull (all are interesting!) photographed on Seaton Common earlier on this year all photographs are copyright of Mark Newsome. Comments on identification more than welcome; Caspian, argentatus, or hybrid?

  1. The wings are very interesting with P10 looking pro argentatus. It would appear that there is a small dark mark on P5. This is a feature for pro-cachinnans isn't it? Did you see this bird, Andrew? I can't really get a sense of the leg length. For me the head looks good for cach but from one photo, I wouldn't like to say for certain. A very interesting bird!
